Andrew Fuller was a Particular Baptist who served as the minister of two churches in Northamptonshire, England, but is best known today for his tireless work in promoting Christian Missions. One of his sermons, preached in 1784 (<a href=\"https:\/\/missiology.org.uk\/pdf\/e-books\/fuller_andrew\/nature-and-importance-of-faith_fuller.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Nature and Importance of Walking by Faith<\/em>, with an appendix\u00a0<em>A Few Persuasives to a General Union in Prayer for the Revival of Religion<\/em><\/a>) is considered instrumental to the foundation of the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/missiology.org.uk\/societies_bms.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baptist Missionary Society<\/a> <\/em>in 1792. Another of Fuller&#8217;s works, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/missiology.org.uk\/book_complete-works-of-andrew-fuller_vol-1.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Gospel Worthy of all Acceptation<\/a><\/em>, deeply influenced <a href=\"https:\/\/missiology.org.uk\/ple_a-c_carey-w.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">William Carey<\/a>, who became the BMS&#8217;s first overseas missionary. Andrew Fuller fulfilled the role of secretary of the <em>BMS <\/em>from 1792 until his death in 1815.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resources on Andrew Fuller including his works and several biographies can now be found on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/missiology.org.uk\/ple_d-f_fuller_andrew.php\">Missiology.org.uk website<\/a><\/strong>. Further material can be found on the website of the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/andrewfullercenter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies<\/a><\/em>, located at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/@michaelazadaghaykin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Michael A.G. Haykin<\/a>.
